Software: GeoGebra
Multiple Correlation Activity
In this activity, students will look at a 3-dimensional correlation to see how the different correlations are connected in a GeoGebra file. This should take 30 minutes.
Men’s and Women’s Heights GeoGebra
In this data file, you’ll be able to demonstrate what the Normal distributions of men’s and women’s heights look like — and spoiler alert, it’s not bimodal. The heights aren’t distinct enough for that. This could take 5 minutes in class for a discussion. With a GeoGebra file, download it first, open GeoGebra, then go to the open existing file from computer option.
R-squared explained
In this demonstration, students can play around with a regression line to see its residuals change. GeoGebra will automatically show the calculation of r-squared. This should take 10–15 minutes.
